The Lassen Youth Soccer League relies exclusively on the help of volunteers. We are constantly in search of additional coaches, referees, team parents and board members.

Coach/Assistant Coach
Without our coaches, there would be no soccer for our children. The most important thing about being a coach is that you enjoy working with children and know how to have fun and play fair! You do not need to know the game. LYS provides coaching clinics to help even the most inexperienced coach get started. Clinics usually take place during July or August. All coaches are required to complete a CYSA-North "Adult Registration and Team Management Disclosure Form" (form 1628) and submit it with a 1 X 1 1/2" picture to the League Registrar.

If you're interested in coaching, sign up along with your child or contact the League Coaching Coordinator.

Referee
This is one of the most important positions to help young people understand the game. Training is provided by certified referees and will give you instruction on rules and techniques. On-going help is available upon request. More Info

Team Parent
The Team Parent helps the coach in many ways by making phone calls for snacks, picture day, etc. They can also organize an end of the season team party.

Board Members
The LYS Board of Directors are responsible for developing, promoting and administering the game of soccer for our youth in Lassen County. There are 14 officers who serve a 2 year term and are nominated and elected by the members of LYS at the Annual General Meeting held in January.
